The Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana has announced an ambitious five-year strategic plan aimed at fostering both spiritual and infrastructural growth within its congregations nationwide. The initiative, which will run from 2025 to 2029, aligns with the broader vision of the newly appointed National Overseer, Pastor Dr. Edward Kofi Tumsiah, to strengthen the church’s impact across Ghana.
Pastor David Asumani Obeng, the outgoing Bono Regional Overseer, disclosed this during a special meeting to formally introduce Pastor Samuel Agbenyafia as the new Coordinating Regional Overseer for the middle belt, which includes the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions. The meeting brought together church leaders from various branches, including Abesim, Yamfo, Techire, Ohene-Djan, Chiraa, and Sunyani, reflecting the church’s extensive reach in the region.
Key Pillars of the Strategic Plan
Pastor Obeng outlined the key pillars of the strategic plan, which focuses on:
- Youth Empowerment: Building the numerical and spiritual strength of children, youth, and campus ministries to create a vibrant next generation of Christian leaders.
- Community Outreach: Establishing new churches in underserved and remote communities to expand the reach of the gospel.
- Leadership Development: Equipping pastors, leaders, and workers with the spiritual tools needed to disciple and mentor others effectively.
- Unity and Social Cohesion: Promoting unity within the church to strengthen its collective impact on society.
Major Upcoming Events
The church has outlined a series of high-impact spiritual programmes for the year, including the Global Workers Conference in Accra (May 28-31), the National Singles Seminar (June 21), and the National Workers Conference in Kumasi (July 31 to August 2).
Hosting the General Superintendent
Significantly, Ghana will also host Dr. William F. Kumuyi, the Founder and General Superintendent of the DCLM, for the high-profile “Gatekeepers” conference later this year. This event aims to reach influential leaders in government, business, and society, reflecting the church’s belief in the transformative power of faith at all levels of leadership.
“When our leaders are won by Christ, it directly impacts the moral fabric of the nation, addressing issues like corruption and injustice,” Pastor Obeng noted, emphasizing the strategic importance of this outreach.
Call for Spiritual Renewal
In his address, Pastor Agbenyafia encouraged church leaders to remain steadfast in their spiritual growth and soul-winning efforts, drawing inspiration from the biblical examples of John, Joseph, and Daniel. He reminded them that true success in ministry requires a deep personal commitment to faith and integrity.
“Let us be shining examples in our churches, workplaces, and communities,” he urged, calling for a renewed focus on prayer and spiritual discipline to ensure the success of the church’s ambitious plans.
The five-year plan marks a significant step in the ongoing restructuring of DCLM Ghana, positioning the church for sustained growth and greater national influence in the years to come.
