Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has provided scholarships and MacBook computers to six top-performing candidates from the constituency who excelled in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The initiative is aimed at supporting the beneficiaries as they transition into higher education while encouraging other students in the constituency to pursue academic excellence.
The six students were hosted by the MP and presented with MacBook computers and full scholarships to support their further education.
They are Freda Esenam Glah, Yvonne Kekeli Doe and Japhet Akpaglo, who each obtained seven A’s; Joseph Sokpo, who obtained six A’s; and Omoro Sulley and Ewoenam Afua Eleblu, who each obtained five A’s.
Congratulating the beneficiaries, Mr Ablakwa urged them to sustain their commitment to academic excellence as they progressed to the next stage of their education.
He said the support reflected society’s responsibility to recognise young people who excelled academically and provide them with the necessary encouragement and resources to achieve their educational and professional aspirations.
“Togbe Worgbedzi is enormously proud of you,” he said.
Mr Ablakwa also commended the District Chief Executive for North Tongu, Mrs Victoria Yawa Doe, for her role in coordinating the initiative.
He said investing in outstanding students would not only reward their hard work but also inspire other young people in the constituency to strive for higher academic achievement.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the MP for the support, saying the scholarships and computers would provide valuable assistance as they pursued further education.
