The Black Stars are set to move their 2026 FIFA World Cup preparations to Canada as the team leaves Rhode Island on Monday for Toronto ahead of their opening Group L fixture against Panama.
The squad has been based in Providence since Thursday, following their arrival from Virginia, with head coach Carlos Queiroz and his technical team stepping up training sessions as Ghana fine-tunes its tactics for the tournament opener.
According to Ghana Football Association Communications Director Henry Asante Twum, the team will conclude its final build-up phase in Toronto, where attention now shifts to match readiness and pitch adaptation.
Ghana is scheduled to hold its official pre-match training session at BMO Field on Tuesday, a day before their opening match at the same venue.
The Black Stars will face Panama on Wednesday, June 17, with kick-off set for 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time, marking the start of Ghana’s 2026 World Cup campaign.
