The Bureau of National Intelligence has arrested four individuals linked to Power Distribution Services over the alleged transfer of large sums of money believed to belong to the Electricity Company of Ghana.
The arrests were made last week as part of ongoing investigations into the suspected movement of funds, according to a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who also serves as Minister of State in charge of Government Communications.
The four individuals named in the statement are Philip Ayensu, Viraj Phat, Sophia Korkor and Justice Menka-Premoh.
Authorities say the suspects have since been granted bail while investigations continue into the transactions.
The development marks a new twist in ongoing scrutiny surrounding PDS and its dealings involving ECG funds.
