Pastor Dennis Sasu, District Pastor of the Sunyani South Industrial Estate District of the Church of Pentecost, has urged Christians to treat the Lord’s Supper as a sacred command rather than a mere ritual.
Preaching at the Kings Assembly Auditorium in Sunyani, Pastor Sasu emphasized that Holy Communion is a divine ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ and serves as a constant reminder of His sacrificial death and the redemption secured for humanity.
“The Lord’s table is not optional; it is a commandment,” he stated, encouraging believers who have neglected the observance to begin participating regularly.
Describing the Lord’s Supper as a spiritual feast filled with blessings, he called on Christians to approach it with reverence, self-examination, and sincerity. According to him, participation must be grounded in holiness to strengthen personal faith and promote unity within the church.
Pastor Sasu also expressed concern about rising moral challenges within Christian communities, cautioning against acts of immorality. He urged clergy and congregants alike to uphold high standards of holiness and remain committed to the foundational teachings of the faith.
Addressing young people in particular, he advised them to guard their hearts and avoid behaviors that could weaken their spiritual growth, stressing the importance of obedience, purity, and dedication to Christ’s teachings.
