Dorcas Affo-Toffey moves to fulfill electricity promise to four communities in Jomoro

Residents of Tweakor 1, Tweakor 2, Navrongo and Bentilibo in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region are a step closer to gaining access to electricity following the provision of an Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) transformer by the Member of Parliament, Dorcas Affo Toffey.
The move marks a significant step towards fulfilling her promise to help extend electricity supply to the four communities, raising hopes among residents who have been looking forward to improved access to reliable electricity.
Madam Affo Toffey’s provision of the transformer demonstrates her commitment to addressing the electricity needs of the affected communities and supporting efforts to improve living conditions and promote local development.
Electricity remains an essential driver of development, with access to power expected to create opportunities for small businesses, improve educational activities, enhance household convenience and contribute to better access to essential services.
For residents of Tweakor 1, Tweakor 2, Navrongo and Bentilibo, the provision of the transformer represents an important step towards connecting their communities to the national electricity grid.
The initiative is also expected to bring renewed hope to households and business operators who stand to benefit from improved access to electricity once the necessary installation and connection works are completed.
Madam Affo Toffey, who is also the Deputy Transport Minister’s intervention underscores the importance of responsive leadership and practical efforts to address the infrastructure challenges confronting communities. By providing the transformer, she has taken a concrete step towards delivering on her commitment to the people.
However, the full realisation of the promise will depend on the completion of the necessary technical processes, installation works and other requirements by the relevant electricity authorities before power supply can commence.
Residents will therefore be looking forward to the timely completion of the remaining processes to enable the four communities to enjoy the benefits of electricity.
The development is expected to strengthen confidence in ongoing efforts to expand access to basic infrastructure and improve the quality of life of residents in the beneficiary communities.
With the ECG transformer now provided, the long-awaited prospect of electricity for Tweakor 1, Tweakor 2, Navrongo and Bentilibo appears closer to becoming a reality.
For Madam Dorcas Affo Toffey, the intervention represents a key step towards fulfilling her promise, while for the beneficiary communities, it signals renewed hope for improved living standards, economic opportunities and a brighter future.
The people of Tweakor 1, Tweakor 2, Navrongo and Bentilibo now await the completion of the remaining processes that will turn the provision of the transformer into actual electricity supply.
