PwC Ghana has appointed George Arhin as its Country Senior Partner (CSP), effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Vish Ashiagbor.
Mr Arhin will oversee PwC’s operations in Ghana, while also assuming responsibility for the firm’s activities in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
His appointment brings more than 23 years of professional services experience with PwC in Ghana and the United Kingdom to the firm’s top leadership position.
Before his new role, Mr Arhin served as Assurance Leader for PwC Ghana and Liberia, with oversight of services in several Francophone countries in sub-Saharan Africa. He also previously held leadership roles in the PwC Business School, Human Capital, and Energy, Utilities and Resources practices.
At the PwC Africa level, Mr Arhin is a member of the PwC Africa Board and currently chairs its Governance and Partner Affairs Committee. He previously chaired the Board’s Clients and Market Development Committee between 2022 and 2025.
Mr Arhin said his priority would be to build on the foundation established by his predecessor while strengthening the firm’s capabilities, partnerships and response to changing market needs.
“It is a privilege to take on this role and build on the strong platform established under Vish’s leadership,” he said.
He succeeds Mr Ashiagbor, who will retire on June 30, 2027, after 26 years with PwC. Mr Ashiagbor will remain with the firm to support the transition until his retirement.
PwC’s West Market Area Regional Senior Partner, Sam Abu, said Mr Arhin’s experience across the firm’s businesses, markets and clients positioned him to lead PwC Ghana into its next phase.
Mr Ashiagbor, reflecting on his tenure, said he was confident that Mr Arhin would build on the progress achieved during his leadership and continue creating value for PwC’s clients, people and stakeholders.
Mr Arhin holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Ghana Business School. He is also a Fellow of CIMA, CGMA, ACCA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
