Ghana’s largest cultural showcase in Europe, Ghana Party in the Park (GPITP), is returning with a bold, reimagined experience as it marks its 20th anniversary on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Barnet Playing Fields in London.
More than just a music festival, the 2025 edition of GPITP—organised by leading UK-based Ghanaian marketing firm Akwaaba UK—is being positioned as a powerful platform for cultural diplomacy, economic engagement, and African pride.
With the theme “20 Years of Reshaping Ghana’s Narrative; The Next Chapter,” the anniversary event promises not only vibrant performances but also deeper opportunities for diaspora connections, trade, and investment.
At the heart of this year’s experience is Expo Ghana, a newly introduced business and cultural expo designed to connect Ghanaian entrepreneurs, African-owned businesses, and European investors. According to Akwaaba UK CEO Dennis Tawiah, the event will offer corporate Ghana and Africa-focused enterprises a unique opportunity to explore business partnerships within the diaspora.
“This year’s edition is not just a celebration—it’s a bridge. A bridge between Ghana and the diaspora, between culture and commerce, between heritage and the future,” Mr Tawiah said.
Musical entertainment will still take centre stage, with an exciting lineup headlined by Kweku Smoke and Reigning Artiste of the Year, King Promise. Other confirmed acts include DopeNation, MOLIY, Beeztrap KOTM, Cina Soul, Fuse ODG, AratheJay, and the electric DWP Academy, promising a fusion of afrobeats, hiplife, and high-energy dance performances.
But beyond the stage, GPITP 2025 is expanding its scope. Patrons can look forward to:
- A fashion runway spotlighting contemporary African design
- A food fair offering tastes from Ghana and beyond
- A gaming and family zone for all ages
- And a business exhibition showcasing innovation across African industries
In the weeks leading up to the event, organisers also plan media activations and stakeholder engagements to highlight Ghana’s evolving global image and the economic opportunities tied to its culture.
With tickets selling quickly via www.gpitp.com, this year’s Ghana Party in the Park is shaping up to be more than a festival—it’s a statement of identity, ambition, and unity.
For vendors, sponsors, and cultural ambassadors, the 20th anniversary is a call to celebrate the past and co-create Ghana’s next global chapter.
