Samuel Nartey George, Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, is set to deliver a keynote address at the Pan African AI & Innovation Summit, scheduled for September 22–23 in Accra.
Organisers say the summit will provide a platform for policy to intersect with innovation, bringing together AI researchers, start-ups, investors, and business leaders from across Africa and beyond. The Minister is expected to outline actionable visions on data governance, computing infrastructure, and ethical AI deployment, guiding innovators on the continent’s digital trajectory.
The event also aims to position participating businesses as key contributors to Africa’s digital transformation. Ghana’s commitment of $250 million toward AI development is highlighted as a signal of the country’s readiness to host global technological partnerships.
In addition to policy discussions, the summit will empower youth innovators, encourage responsible AI adoption, and provide a forum for forming strategic partnerships aligned with sustainable and socially impactful technologies.
With the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat promoting a borderless digital economy, organisers say the summit offers a strategic entry point for organisations seeking to expand in high-growth, AI-ready markets across Africa.
