The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a caution to Ghanaians, especially young people, about recruitment and travel schemes associated with QNET and similar networks, warning that they often involve fraudulent promises of employment, business opportunities, or European visa assistance.
In a statement released in Accra, the Ministry noted a rise in cases where nationals are misled into traveling abroad, only to find themselves stranded, detained by foreign immigration authorities, or subjected to exploitative conditions.
The Ministry urged prospective travelers to carefully verify all offers through official and credible channels before making financial commitments or traveling overseas. It also called on parents, guardians, and community leaders to educate youth on the dangers of such schemes.
Authorities have encouraged the public to report suspicious recruitment activities to the Ministry or relevant security and immigration agencies.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with national institutions to protect Ghanaians from criminal networks and ensure the welfare of citizens abroad.
