Pupils and teachers at Twedaase Primary School in Tema are set to benefit from improved learning conditions following a major intervention that has seen the refurbishment of key facilities and the donation of educational materials.
The support project, undertaken by Links, Incorporated in partnership with Team CSR Ghana, included the commissioning of a fully equipped Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory fitted with computers to enhance digital learning.
Beyond the ICT upgrade, the initiative also delivered a mechanised borehole with a polytank to improve access to clean water, as well as the renovation of the school’s toilet facilities to promote better hygiene and sanitation.
In addition, the two organisations provided learning materials such as textbooks, stationery, and sports kits to support both academic work and extracurricular activities.
President of Links, Incorporated, Cheryl Simmons Gray, described the project as a continuation of the organisation’s long-standing commitment to community development and education support.
She noted that the intervention strengthens an 11-year partnership with the school and reflects the organisation’s focus on sustainability, empowerment, and service to underserved communities.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Team CSR Ghana, Jonathan Akuamoah, said the collaboration is aimed at linking corporate partners with local communities to address pressing educational and social needs.
He urged school authorities to maintain the facilities properly to ensure they remain functional and beneficial for long-term use.
Headmaster of Twedaase Primary School, Ellis Tsidi Kwaku Kwao, expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful.
He assured stakeholders that the school would put the facilities to good use to improve teaching and learning outcomes for pupils.
The project is expected to significantly enhance digital literacy, improve sanitation, and create a more conducive learning environment for students at the school.
