KAAF University has officially matriculated 1,750 fresh students, including 745 males, for the 2025/2026 academic year, welcoming them into its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Selected from approximately 2,500 applicants, the new students took part in a formal matriculation ceremony at the university’s Fetteh Kakraba campus in the Central Region, where they were conferred membership after meeting academic requirements and taking the matriculation oath.
Dr Francis Acheampong, Vice-Chancellor of KAAF University, explained that the oath binds students to uphold the institution’s rules and regulations, maintain ethical conduct, and pursue their studies diligently.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Acheampong highlighted the university’s commitment to providing industry-driven and practical education through its carefully structured programmes. “KAAF gives practical training with programmes that meet what industries need and not just the theory,” he said, noting that the university continuously upgrades its facilities and support systems to foster excellent teaching and learning.
The university offers a wide range of programmes, including BSc Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, and Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Graduate and professional programmes include MBA specialisations, MPhil in Nursing and Midwifery, MSc in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Environmental Health, Computer Science, and LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Dr Acheampong encouraged the new students to take their studies seriously, cultivate integrity, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to excel in their chosen fields.
In an interview, Dr Linda Anane Donkor, Registrar of the University, announced plans to introduce PhD programmes in Nursing and Midwifery, and advised students to stay focused, avoid distractions, and adopt habits that support academic success.
With a focus on combining theory with hands-on, industry-relevant training, KAAF University positions itself as a hub for producing skilled graduates prepared to meet both local and global workforce demands.
