Keta Senior High School (KETASCO) has taken a major step towards marking its 75th anniversary with the inauguration of an eight-member Ad-hoc Committee tasked with developing a comprehensive framework for the celebration.
The committee, made up of alumni and a school representative, was formally inaugurated during a virtual ceremony organised by the President of the Alumni Community, Dr Stanislaus Adiaba, via Zoom.
The team—referred to as Dzolalians—comprises Ivan Quashigah (Chairperson), Bright Kpodo (Secretary), Elorm Nyamadi (School Representative), Wasiu Yusuf, Dzudzor Kpedor, Pearl Deku, Worla Essikpe, and Kennie Eyram Cann-Tamakloe.
Their mandate is to design a strategic roadmap to guide all planning and execution activities for the milestone anniversary, ensuring a well-coordinated and impactful celebration.
Dr Adiaba urged the committee to deliver a strong and practical framework, stressing the importance of excellence in honouring the school’s legacy.
The Chairperson of the Council of Elders, Mrs Brigette Katsriku, also congratulated the members and encouraged them to seek guidance where necessary to strengthen their work.
As part of the launch, the committee unveiled a theme song to symbolically kick-start preparations.
The Chairman of the committee, speaking on behalf of members, accepted the responsibility and pledged commitment to the task ahead.
The committee has six weeks to submit its report to the National Executive Council, with over 66 participants, including the headmaster, attending the inauguration.
