A late-night fire outbreak at the Sofoline Magazine New Site in Kumasi has left significant property damage, with dozens of vehicles and metal containers destroyed.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the blaze, which occurred on Sunday, January 25, 2026, consumed 27 vehicles and 22 metal containers, along with their contents. No injuries or loss of life were recorded.
The Ashanti Regional Public Relations Office of the GNFS said the Service received an emergency call at about 8:00pm, prompting a swift response from firefighters at the Bremang and Twedie Fire Stations.
