Media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has criticised Founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, over his public remarks about his wife, Florence Obinim, describing his conduct as disappointing and inappropriate.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM, MC Yaa Yeboah questioned the bishop’s decision to repeatedly address his marital issues in public, arguing that such actions were unbecoming of a religious leader.
She said the recent videos and statements made by Bishop Obinim about his wife, including warnings against discussing their marriage in the media, were unnecessary and risked damaging the family.
“Anytime we hear issues with this marriage are coming from the man in the house, it’s very appalling. I feel like the videos the Bishop has been posting on social media are really unnecessary. It isn’t called for; it’s immature,” she stated.
MC Yaa Yeboah also expressed concern about the possible impact of the public feud on the couple’s children, saying parents should prioritise their children’s emotional well-being instead of engaging in public exchanges.
She questioned why Bishop Obinim would make dismissive comments about his wife before his congregation, despite the close relationship the children share with their mother.
The broadcaster further criticised the bishop’s reported warning that he would expose his wife if she continued to discuss their marital challenges publicly, arguing that no spouse should be prevented from speaking about personal difficulties.
She also accused Bishop Obinim of manipulating both his wife and their children amid the ongoing marital dispute.
The criticism follows recent comments by Bishop Obinim in which he stated that, should he die, he did not want Florence Obinim or his extended family to play any role in his funeral arrangements, saying those responsibilities should be left to his biological children and members of his church.
