On Saturday, 19th July 2025, the Kotobabi Wembley Sports Complex in Accra came alive as PrideSpins hosted the second edition of its highly anticipated Community Football Tournament. Following the success of the inaugural event last year, this year’s tournament brought together local talent, exciting games, and community empowerment, reinforcing PrideSpins’ commitment to supporting grassroots football in Ghana.
The tournament featured eight dynamic teams: Kaneshie Station FC, Shaolin FC, 6 Gods, Racco FC, NDC FC, Jamaica 11, Parliament Boys, and Obutu Road. These teams competed fiercely on the pitch, displaying exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
At the end of the day, three teams emerged as winners of the cash prizes. The first prize of GHS 3,000 went to the tournament champions, while the second place team received GHS 2,000, and the third place team took home GHS 1,000. In true PrideSpins fashion, every participating team was appreciated and rewarded with branded jerseys, gift bags, and other exciting packages.
A major highlight of the day was the introduction of Ghana’s first outdoor Plinko board, offering spectators a fun and interactive experience. Alongside the Plinko board, fans engaged in darts competitions, lively side games, and other exciting activities that added an extra layer of energy to the already vibrant event.
This community gala is part of PrideSpins’ larger vision to promote community development through sports. By organizing such events, PrideSpins provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, build confidence, and gain recognition at the grassroots level. The initiative also strengthens community bonds and encourages youth participation in healthy, competitive activities.
The PrideSpins Community Football Tournament is more than just a game. It represents a long-term investment in youth empowerment, local football development, and social engagement. As a brand that believes in the power of play, PrideSpins continues to drive initiatives that support sports, entertainment, and community growth across Ghana.
With plans already underway for more community soccer events and social activations, PrideSpins invites all communities, football lovers, and stakeholders to join the movement. Let us continue to build stronger communities through football, because together we play.
