Tottenham Hotspur have struck a £55 million agreement with West Ham United for Ghana international Mohammed Kudus, underlining their intent to reinvigorate an attack that faltered during 2024/25.
The 24‑year‑old, who excelled in East London with 13 goals and nine assists from midfield, will undergo a medical in London ahead of finalising a long‑term deal.
After an initial £50 million bid was rebuffed, Spurs returned with improved terms that West Ham accepted—despite Kudus possessing an £85 million release clause. Kudus’s dynamic dribbling (195 attempts at a 47 percent success rate last season) and versatility in midfield made him Tottenham’s priority amid competition from multiple European suitors.
The capture comes as part of a broader recruitment push for incoming head coach Thomas Frank, who is also linked with Brentford forward Yoane Wissa. With the January addition of forward Manor Solomon still fresh, Spurs are clearly committing significant resources to overhaul a squad that underachieved across all competitions last season.
As supporters await the official announcement, Tottenham’s aggressive business signals a summer strategy focused on youth, pace, and creativity—ingredients they hope will fuel a return to top‑four contention.
