Gospel artist Noble Nketsiah has shared how witnessing a fatal dispute between two brothers in Kumasi moved him to compose his signature song, “Mmofra Yi.”
While stuck in traffic, Nketsiah watched an older boy miss a handout from a well‑wisher, only for his younger sibling to receive the gift—and then be fatally stabbed by the elder in a desperate fight.
“It happened so quickly,” Noble told Peace FM. “We rushed the injured child to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, but he didn’t make it.” Shaken by the scene, the melody and lyrics poured out of him as he sat in his car, giving birth to a song that has since become a poignant anthem on child suffering and compassion.
