Tracy, a young girl from Ridoana Comprehensive School in Ashaiman, has received a life-changing gift from music star Wendy Shay after her viral dance to Wendy’s hit song “Too Late” captured the internet’s attention.
The 30-second video of Tracy passionately singing and dancing went viral on April 3, 2025, with many praising her energy and talent. However, some critics questioned her choice of attire and expressions, sparking a debate online.
Wendy Shay, who had previously performed at the same school during the All Ashaiman Schools Festival, returned to Ashaiman to personally thank Tracy for her viral performance. In an emotional video shared on Wendy Shay’s social media, the artist addressed the students and staff, highlighting Tracy’s star quality.
Wendy Shay announced that she would be awarding Tracy a full educational scholarship, covering her education from Class 5 all the way to university level. In addition to the scholarship, Wendy also gifted Tracy an undisclosed sum of money, assorted drinks, and other surprises.
The gesture marks a significant moment for both Wendy Shay and Tracy, offering a brighter future for the young dancer while reinforcing Wendy’s commitment to supporting young talent.
