Wolves staged a spirited comeback to earn a 2-2 draw against Brentford, denying the hosts a crucial win in their push for European football.
Despite trailing by two goals in the first half, the visitors showed resilience to claw their way back, with substitute Tolu Arokodare heading in a late equaliser after Adam Armstrong had earlier reduced the deficit.
Brentford looked firmly in control early on, with Michael Kayode opening the scoring with his first goal for the club before Igor Thiago extended the lead with his 22nd goal of an impressive season.
The home side had opportunities to put the game beyond reach, including a chance that struck the woodwork, but they were unable to capitalise.
Wolves, who sit bottom of the Premier League table, found a lifeline just before halftime when Armstrong curled in a fine effort, shifting the momentum in their favour.
They carried that energy into the second half, pressing for an equaliser and creating several chances, including efforts that hit the frame of the goal.
Their persistence paid off when Arokodare rose to head home with just over 10 minutes remaining, and he nearly secured a dramatic winner moments later when another header rattled the crossbar.
Brentford pushed for a late winner but were unable to convert, settling for a point that keeps them seventh in the table and still in contention for a European place.
For Wolves, the result reflects a growing fighting spirit despite their difficult position in the league, as they continue to show determination in their battle against relegation.
