World Vision Ghana is positioning itself to scale up its impact on child welfare with a new five-year strategy aimed at reaching 2.8 million vulnerable children across the country by 2030.
The organisation’s upcoming roadmap, to be launched in Accra, outlines a comprehensive approach to tackling the evolving challenges facing children, while strengthening partnerships to deliver long-term solutions.
Under the theme “HOPE for Every Child,” the strategy places strong emphasis on integrated development—focusing on health, education, nutrition, water and sanitation, as well as gender equality—to improve overall child well-being.
Officials say the plan reflects a shift toward system-wide interventions, recognising that sustainable progress requires coordinated action among government institutions, civil society, faith-based organisations and the private sector.
The initiative builds on over four decades of work by World Vision Ghana and aligns with both national development priorities and global frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals.
Beyond direct support, the strategy seeks to empower communities and families, ensuring children grow up in safe, supportive environments with access to essential services.
The launch event is expected to convene key stakeholders to deepen collaboration and mobilise resources, as the organisation calls for collective responsibility in addressing child vulnerability across Ghana.
With this new direction, World Vision Ghana aims not only to expand its reach but also to drive lasting, nationwide improvements in the lives of children over the next five years.
