MobileMoney LTD (MML), the fintech arm of MTN Ghana, has strengthened its support for national education and technology development by sponsoring the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), reaffirming its commitment to nurturing future innovators in Ghana.

This year, the company is sponsoring the Money Zone segment of the competition, after backing the regional contests. Participating schools will receive e-cash rewards and branded gifts as they advance from the quarter-finals to the grand finale, encouraging excellence and healthy competition among students.

Speaking on the initiative, Chief Commercial Operations Officer Abdul-Razak Issaka Ali emphasised that the sponsorship reflects the company’s mission to empower young people with the skills and mindset needed to lead Ghana’s digital transformation.

“Our partnership with the NSMQ highlights our dedication to fostering the next generation of STEM professionals and innovators who will drive Ghana’s fintech and digital economy,” he said.

Beyond celebrating academic talent, MobileMoney LTD aims to promote digital financial literacy and responsible use of mobile money services, particularly as fintech adoption continues to grow nationwide. The initiative also seeks to raise awareness among students about emerging opportunities in digital financial services and innovation ecosystems.

MML’s involvement aligns with MTN’s broader agenda to support Africa’s technological progress by expanding digital solutions, strengthening fintech participation, and driving financial inclusion.

The NSMQ, Ghana’s most celebrated academic competition, continues to serve as a springboard for young intellectuals and future leaders. With MobileMoney LTD’s support, the programme is expected to further inspire students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics pathways and contribute to a digitally empowered economy.
