Young entrepreneurs across Ghana are being offered a major platform to showcase their businesses and access funding through a new nationwide competition set to air on radio and television.
Enterprise Group PLC, in collaboration with the Springboard Road Show Foundation, has introduced the Enterprise Spotlight Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge—an initiative designed to connect emerging business talents to mentorship, funding, and national visibility. The programme will be broadcast on Springboard, Your Virtual University via Joy FM 99.7 and Joy News TV starting May 10, 2026.
The competition targets entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, encouraging applications from women and persons with disabilities. Participants stand to gain not only exposure but also practical support to scale their businesses.
Winners of the challenge will receive substantial financial rewards, with the top prize set at GH¢100,000, followed by GH¢80,000 for the first runner-up and GH¢50,000 for the second runner-up. Organisers say the initiative is intended to empower individuals already creating impact within their communities by helping them expand their reach.
According to Enterprise Life Managing Director Jacqueline Naadu Benyi, the programme reflects a commitment to investing in entrepreneurs who are generating jobs and solving real-world problems. Similarly, Springboard Road Show Foundation’s Executive Director, Comfort Ocran, described the initiative as a gateway for entrepreneurs who need opportunities rather than recognition.
Applications for the challenge are open until April 6, 2026, with interested individuals encouraged to apply online or contact organisers for further details.
Organisers say the initiative aligns with broader efforts to nurture innovation, strengthen small businesses, and support Ghana’s socio-economic development through youth-driven enterprise.
