The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged Ghanaians planning trips to Senegal to take proactive health measures, including receiving recommended vaccinations.
In a statement released on March 26, the Ministry highlighted that Senegalese authorities advise travellers to be vaccinated against communicable diseases such as yellow fever, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus (DPT), measles, and hepatitis A and B.
While the vaccinations are recommended for safety, the Ministry clarified that proof of immunisation is not a mandatory entry requirement for travellers entering Senegal.
Ghanaians intending to travel are encouraged to consult healthcare providers and ensure that all routine vaccinations are up to date before departure.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to providing timely guidance to safeguard the health and well-being of citizens travelling abroad.
