The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region has moved in with relief support for households affected by recent disasters in the area.
The intervention followed a destructive rainstorm at Toganū and a domestic fire outbreak at Leklebi Dafor, both of which left several families displaced and in need of urgent assistance.
To ease the burden on victims, NADMO provided essential relief items including roofing sheets and other building materials, as well as food supplies such as rice, maize, and cooking oil to support affected households.
District NADMO Director, Maxwell Worlanyo Korkutse, said the organisation remains committed to responding swiftly to disaster situations and supporting victims to rebuild their lives.
He assured residents that NADMO would continue to provide timely assistance and strengthen its emergency response mechanisms across the district.
Beneficiary households expressed appreciation to NADMO and government authorities for the swift intervention, describing the support as crucial in helping them recover from their losses.
