President John Dramani Mahama has concluded his official state visit to Belarus after high-level talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, marking a new phase in relations between the two countries.
The discussions ended with the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding covering key areas of cooperation, including trade and economic relations, collaboration between national chambers of commerce, and agricultural development. Both sides also agreed to establish a Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation to oversee implementation and future engagement.
At a joint press briefing, President Mahama described the visit as a significant step forward in bilateral ties, saying it represents an important milestone in strengthening cooperation between Ghana and Belarus.
The new agreements are expected to deepen institutional partnerships while also expanding opportunities for private sector collaboration between the two countries.
