The Ada East Business Resource Centre, operating under the Rural Enterprises Programme of the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, has announced a week-long exhibition aimed at promoting locally made goods and boosting patronage of Made-in-Ghana products.
The event, scheduled from March 25 to April 1, 2026, will take place at the Centre’s forecourt at Atortorkorpe near the Ada East District Assembly. According to Prosper Tetteh Puplampu, the maiden exhibition will feature artisans from across the district and provide a platform to connect with bulk buyers and potential international partners.
Mr. Puplampu highlighted that many local residents often travel to Tema, Accra, and even Togo to purchase items such as soap, smocks, and bags, despite high-quality local production in Ada, Sege, and surrounding districts.
Exhibitor registration has opened, with fees set at GH₵200 for local participants and GH₵300 for those from outside Ada East and Ada West. The Centre aims to increase visibility for district products, promote competitive pricing, and create opportunities for artisans to secure larger contracts, both locally and internationally.
Mr. Puplampu urged local producers to take advantage of the exhibition, describing it as a critical platform for business growth, market expansion, and showcasing the district’s artisanal talent to a wider audience.
