Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Boakye Agyarko, has strengthened his campaign structure with the appointment of two prominent political figures as he positions himself for the party’s future leadership.
The former Energy Minister has brought on board Henry Quartey and Joseph Osei-Owusu, a move his camp says reflects a strategic effort to deepen grassroots engagement and reposition the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to a statement announcing the appointments, the duo share Mr Agyarko’s vision of rebuilding, restructuring, and rebranding the party, and are expected to play key roles in mobilising support across various levels of the party.
The appointments signal an early push by Mr Agyarko to consolidate influence within the party and present a reform-driven agenda aimed at strengthening its internal structures.
As the NPP begins preparations toward the next electoral cycle, the move highlights growing activity among contenders seeking to shape the party’s future direction.
