BOST Energies Limited Company (BOSTenergies) has reaffirmed its commitment to making health, safety and environmental responsibility an integral part of its operations as it pursues its ambition of becoming a leading net-zero energy logistics and trading company in West Africa.
The company made the commitment at the closing durbar of its 2026 Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Week, held from July 11 to 17.
The week-long programme was held on the theme: “Engage, Educate, and Empower People for Improved HSE Culture.”
The initiative brought together employees, management, stakeholders and the media to promote workplace safety, preventive healthcare and environmental stewardship.
Activities organised during the week included a health walk, a cleaning exercise, health screening, media engagement, an HSE quiz competition and the closing durbar.
The activities were designed to improve awareness of HSE practices and reinforce the principle that maintaining a safe working environment was a shared responsibility.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Managing Director of BOSTenergies, Mr Afetsi Awoonor, said the company’s commitment to HSE standards extended beyond the annual celebration.
“Health, safety, and environmental excellence remain at the heart of everything we do at BOSTenergies,” he said.
He urged employees and stakeholders to remain vigilant, follow safe working practices and actively contribute to strengthening the company’s HSE culture.
Mr Awoonor said the company would continue to invest in measures aimed at protecting employees, safeguarding the environment and improving operational performance.
The successful completion of the HSE Week forms part of BOSTenergies’ broader efforts to embed safety and environmental responsibility into its daily operations.
The company expressed appreciation to employees, partners, facilitators, the media and other stakeholders whose participation contributed to the success of the programme.
As BOSTenergies works towards its ambition of becoming West Africa’s leading integrated, net-zero energy logistics and trading company, it said health, safety and environmental excellence would remain central to its operations and sustainability agenda.
