US singer Chris Brown has admitted to a lesser charge of affray in connection with a 2023 incident at a London nightclub, bringing an end to the prospect of a trial on more serious allegations.
The 37-year-old musician entered his guilty plea at Southwark Crown Court during a hearing that lasted less than five minutes.
His co-defendant, rapper Omololu Akinlolu, known professionally as Hoody Baby, also pleaded guilty to the same charge.
The two men had denied allegations of assault and grievous bodily harm (GBH), but those charges were dropped following the guilty pleas.
A separate charge alleging that Brown possessed an offensive weapon was also withdrawn.
The case relates to a confrontation at a London nightclub in 2023.
Judge Tony Baumgartner has scheduled sentencing for October 26, 2026, when the court will determine the consequences of the guilty pleas.
Brown, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary R&B, will remain subject to the court process until the sentencing hearing.
