Elder Agyeman Debrah, Presiding Elder of the Kings Assembly of the Sunyani Industrial Estate District of the Church of Pentecost, has called on Christians to remain steadfast in their faith in the face of what he described as growing public criticism of core Christian doctrines.
Delivering a sermon at the Kings Assembly Auditorium in Sunyani, Elder Debrah emphasised the centrality of the doctrine of the blood of Jesus Christ to the Christian faith, describing it as foundational to redemption, reconciliation and spiritual restoration.
He cautioned believers against being distracted by skepticism or societal trends that question long-held biblical teachings. According to him, faith must be grounded in scripture rather than public opinion.
“Our faith is not built on public opinion, but on the unchanging Word of God,” he stated, urging Christians to deepen their understanding of biblical doctrine and remain rooted in their convictions.
Elder Debrah underscored that the belief in the atoning power of Christ’s sacrifice remains central to Christian identity and practice. He encouraged the congregation to live righteously, demonstrate love and humility, and adhere to sound biblical teachings in order to experience spiritual growth and divine blessings.
The service, marked by intense worship and prayer, concluded with renewed spiritual commitment among members, reflecting what church leaders described as a call to maturity and unwavering faith in challenging times.
