Nigerian music star Davido has remembered his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, with an emotional tribute on the seventh anniversary of his birth, expressing the family’s enduring love and longing for the child.
The singer shared the message on social media on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, marking what would have been Ifeanyi’s seventh birthday.
“Me and mommy miss and love you! Keep flying high!” Davido wrote, referring to himself and his wife, Chioma Adeleke.
Ifeanyi, the couple’s first son, died on October 31, 2022, just days after celebrating his third birthday. His death was a major personal loss for the couple and attracted widespread sympathy from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Nearly a year after the tragedy, Davido and Chioma welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, in October 2023.
The singer previously disclosed that the arrival of the twins carried mixed emotions for the family because they were born in the same month that Ifeanyi died the previous year.
Davido’s latest tribute has once again drawn attention to the family’s continuing remembrance of their son, as they mark another birthday without him.
