Drake continues to solidify his place in music history with yet another chart-topping album. His latest release, *Some Sexy Songs 4 U*, a collaborative effort with longtime friend and labelmate PartyNextDoor, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. This marks the fourteenth time the Canadian rapper has claimed the top spot, reinforcing his dominance in the industry despite a challenging few months.
With this latest achievement, Drake joins an elite group of artists who have reached 14 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. He now shares the record for the most chart-topping albums among soloists with Jay-Z and Taylor Swift, two of the most influential musicians of all time. The only act with more No. 1 albums remains The Beatles, who continue to hold the all-time record with 19.
The success of *Some Sexy Songs 4 U* further cements Drake’s reputation as a streaming powerhouse. In its first full tracking week, the album earned 246,000 equivalent album units, with nearly 220,000 of those coming from streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. The overwhelming support from fans underscores his continued relevance and ability to dominate digital consumption.
For PartyNextDoor, this milestone represents his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. The OVO Sound signee had previously landed three top 10 projects, with *PartyNextDoor 3* reaching as high as No. 3 in 2016. Now, with *Some Sexy Songs 4 U*, he joins the ranks of artists who have secured a Billboard 200 leader, thanks in part to his collaboration with Drake.
This latest album is Drake’s first full-length release since *For All the Dogs* in fall 2023, which also debuted at No. 1, marking his thirteenth chart-topper. In the interim, he released the *100 Gigs* EP, a brief three-song project that didn’t qualify for the Billboard 200 but still made waves with individual track performances.
Drake’s ability to maintain a consistent presence at the top of the charts speaks volumes about his enduring influence and commercial appeal. As he matches historic figures like Jay-Z and Taylor Swift, his legacy as one of the most dominant artists of his generation only grows stronger.
