The stage is set for a compelling 2025/26 MTN FA Cup final after Dreams FC and Nations FC secured hard-fought semi-final victories at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
Dreams FC booked their place in the final with a tense 3–2 win over Medeama SC in a match filled with momentum shifts and late drama. The Accra-based side made a strong start, with Kelvin Ahiable opening the scoring in the 23rd minute before Suraj Seidu doubled the advantage shortly after to give Dreams early control.
Medeama SC fought back before halftime through Prince Owusu, and levelled the score early in the second half when Richard Appiah made it 2–2, setting up a nervy finish.
However, veteran forward John Antwi proved decisive, striking late to restore Dreams FC’s lead and send them into another FA Cup final appearance.
In the other semi-final, Nations FC continued their remarkable debut cup run by defeating Aduana FC 1–0. Emmanuel Annor scored the only goal of the match inside seven minutes, giving the Abrankese-based side an early lead they defended with discipline and resilience.
Despite sustained pressure from Aduana FC, Nations FC held firm under the leadership of captain Razak Simpson to secure a historic qualification to their first-ever FA Cup final.
Their journey to the final has included impressive victories over Ebony FC, Swedru All Blacks, Berekum Chelsea, and Aduana FC, underlining their status as one of the tournament’s surprise packages.
The final will now pit the experience of Dreams FC against the fearless momentum of Nations FC, with the MTN FA Cup title and a continental ticket at stake.
