A tragic incident unfolded at Manso Deduako in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, when 75-year-old farmer Ibrahim Laah was fatally attacked following a dispute with another individual.
The 75-year-old father of three reportedly became involved in a confrontation that quickly escalated, leading to his brutal killing. Authorities have since arrested a suspect believed to be connected to the case.
Emmanuel Gyau, Assembly Member for Manso Deduako Electoral Area, confirmed the arrest and revealed that police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
“The moment I heard about the incident, I immediately contacted the municipal chairman and together we visited the scene, where we found the victim lying in a pool of blood,” Mr. Gyau said. “The suspect has been apprehended and is cooperating with law enforcement.”
The deceased’s body was transferred to Saint Martin’s Hospital in Agroyesum for a postmortem examination as the community reels from the shocking loss. Police continue to work diligently to bring clarity and justice in this distressing case.
