Fresh tensions have emerged over preparations for the funeral of late industrialist and church founder Apostle Kwadwo Safo, with family representatives accusing former Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo of failing to participate in key family discussions.
Dr Philip Siaw Kissi, who serves as secretary to the Safo family, has alleged that Adwoa Safo has not attended meetings organised to discuss matters relating to her late father’s funeral arrangements.
Speaking on the ongoing disagreements surrounding the burial plans, Dr Kissi disputed claims that the former legislator had been engaging both the family and church leadership on the issue.
According to him, assertions that consultations have taken place are inaccurate, insisting that neither the family nor church authorities have held the meetings Adwoa Safo has publicly referenced.
“Adwoa Safo does not come for meetings,” Dr Kissi stated, adding that the family has not been involved in any discussions she has claimed to have undertaken.
The latest allegations highlight growing divisions over the management of funeral arrangements for the late Apostle Safo, whose passing has generated significant public interest due to his influence in Ghana’s religious, industrial and technological sectors.
The family secretary’s comments add another layer to the ongoing dispute, as stakeholders continue to seek consensus on plans to honour the legacy of the renowned founder and leader.
The former MP has yet to publicly respond to the latest allegations.
