Fidelity Bank Ghana has reported a Profit Before Tax of GHS1.46 billion for 2025, marking a 21 percent increase from the GHS1.21 billion recorded in 2024, according to figures presented at its 2026 Annual General Meeting.
The bank’s operating income also rose to GHS2.68 billion in 2025, up from GHS2.34 billion in the previous year, reflecting what management described as sustained operational strength and strategic execution.
Board Chairman Mr James Reynolds said the performance demonstrated disciplined strategy implementation, strong customer confidence, and resilience across the bank’s operations.
Total assets grew by 17 percent to GHS25.98 billion, while wholesale and customer funding liabilities increased by 13 percent to GHS21.68 billion, underscoring continued balance sheet expansion.
A key driver of growth was lending activity, with gross loans and advances surging by 51 percent from GHS3.14 billion in 2024 to GHS4.74 billion in 2025. The bank said the expansion supported corporate clients, SMEs, retail customers, and emerging sectors of the economy.
Asset quality also improved, with the non-performing loan ratio falling to 7.09 percent, significantly below the industry average of 18.9 percent.
Managing Director Mr Julian Opuni attributed the strong performance to disciplined execution, targeted expansion, and increased investment in digital banking platforms, automation, and data analytics.
He noted that the bank’s digital systems continue to play a central role in delivering efficient and personalised banking services.
Fidelity Bank also disclosed that it invested over GHS170 million in 2025 to support green finance initiatives and climate-smart projects, reinforcing its sustainability agenda.
Its social impact programmes, including the GreenTech Innovation Challenge, Orange Inspire Creative Challenge, and Waste-to-Cash recycling initiative, collectively reached more than 40,000 beneficiaries across 10 regions.
The bank further received several local and international awards, including recognition as Best Private Bank in Ghana and Best SME & ESG Bank, highlighting its growing reputation in sustainable and inclusive banking.
Management says the bank will continue focusing on innovation, responsible growth, and long-term support for Ghana’s economic development.
