As thousands of candidates gear up to sit for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has called on them to maintain discipline, uphold integrity, and approach the exams with confidence and diligence.
In a goodwill message signed by GNAT General Secretary, Mr. Thomas T. Musah, the Association reminded candidates of the importance of personal honesty and urged them to steer clear of examination malpractices.
“GNAT entreats you to face the examination with zeal, determination, and optimism,” the statement read, emphasising that a bright future lies ahead for students who combine hard work with ethical conduct.
Rather than focusing solely on academic performance, GNAT’s message stressed character and attitude, urging candidates to approach each paper consciously and with integrity. “We urge you to observe all the rules guiding the examination… and surely, you would come out with flying colours,” the statement added.
The Association expressed strong confidence in the abilities of the candidates, noting that their success would not only reflect their individual effort but also bring pride to parents, teachers, and the nation at large.
GNAT further reassured candidates of the support and encouragement of teachers across the country, affirming that their hard work will be rewarded and their future remains full of promise.
The statement concluded with a heartfelt wish for a successful examination period and a prosperous academic journey beyond the BECE.
