The government has signaled the start of enrolment for prospective homeowners seeking affordable housing under the National Homeownership Fund (NHF), aiming to ease Ghana’s housing shortage for working-class citizens.
Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, announced the development after visiting nearly completed housing projects at Shai Hills and Tema Community 22 on Monday, March 2, 2026.
“These homes are 95 to 98 per cent ready, and we are prepared to begin signing agreements with applicants,” Minister Adjei said.
