Pastor Edward Anderson, Founder of the Healing School of the Bible in Tema, has expressed strong support for the government’s recent directive requiring prophets to submit prophecies related to national affairs for official review prior to public dissemination.
The directive, announced by Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, comes in the wake of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed eight lives and seeks to regulate prophecies concerning political leadership, governance, national security, and public order.
Pastor Anderson described the move as a positive step toward fostering greater responsibility among prophetic voices, helping to prevent misinformation, unnecessary fear, and the potential misuse of spiritual influence by unscrupulous individuals.
He emphasized that “God reveals to redeem,” underscoring the need for such revelations to be approached with prayerful discernment and respect. According to him, equipping Christians with sound biblical knowledge is key to distinguishing authentic prophecies from misleading claims.
The Healing School founder also urged the government to initiate ongoing dialogues with religious leaders to promote transparency and unity. He believes collaborative forums could help “sanitize” the prophetic landscape and strengthen collective prayers for Ghana’s leadership and national wellbeing.
This endorsement highlights a growing consensus among faith leaders on the importance of balancing spiritual freedom with national stability in an era where prophetic messages can significantly impact public sentiment.
