Ghanaian winger Henry Addo is set for a new challenge in Portugal after completing his move from Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv to C.D. Tondela.
The 23-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Portuguese club, keeping him at Tondela until June 2028. The club officially announced the transfer on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Addo arrives at Tondela determined to make an immediate impact and help the club achieve its ambitions.
Describing the move as a major opportunity, the Ghanaian winger pledged to give his best for the team and contribute to its success.
“It’s a great opportunity for me. I will always give my best to help the group and my new club get back to the top again,” Addo said.
He also expressed his desire to build a strong connection with the club’s supporters.
“I’m here to help and entertain the fans, so we can enjoy ourselves together as a team. We are all one,” he added.
Addo joins Tondela after spending the 2025/26 season on loan with Serbian side OFK Belgrade.
During his time in Serbia, he made 16 appearances and scored two goals.
