In a strategic move to deepen its footprint in Ghana’s digital and energy transformation, Huawei Technologies (Ghana) S.A. Limited has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Ghanaian government.
Ms. Julia Qiu Ye, Head of the Business Environment Department at Huawei Ghana, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in Accra. The high-level meeting focused on expanding collaboration in two critical sectors: digitalization and renewable energy solutions.
Ms. Ye praised the strong and productive partnership between Huawei and the Government of Ghana, particularly in the area of public sector digitalization, and expressed optimism about further mutual gains.
“We believe Ghana is a strategic partner for our vision in Africa, and we are ready to support national goals in both digital and green energy sectors,” she said.
Foreign Minister Okudzeto Ablakwa commended Huawei’s contributions to Ghana’s digital infrastructure over the years and welcomed the tech giant’s readiness to contribute to Ghana’s energy reset agenda.
“Your involvement in helping us digitalize public services has been instrumental. We are confident that your innovations in renewable energy can further support our commitment to sustainability,” he noted.
Both parties agreed to strengthen the cooperation framework to enhance innovation, infrastructure, and economic welfare for Ghanaians.
As Ghana pushes forward on the twin pillars of digital growth and clean energy, Huawei appears poised to be a key partner in shaping the country’s tech-driven future.
