The Keta Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Wisdom Seade, has lauded the government for releasing substantial funds to accelerate development projects across communities in the Keta Municipality, saying the renewed commitment is transforming local infrastructure and improving livelihoods.
Speaking during the thank-you tour of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Mr. Seade outlined several ongoing and completed initiatives funded under various government programmes.
He disclosed that the renovation of the Anlo-Afiadenyigba market shed had been completed, while work continued steadily on the PWD premises and school infrastructure at Abor.
“Very soon, we are going to cut the sod for the construction of a CHPS compound at Tengekope. We are also close to completing the Anyako water project, which will ease the long-standing water challenges in that area,” the MCE announced.
Mr. Seade further credited the government’s Big Push Initiative for prioritising key road networks in the municipality, including Anlo-Afiadenyigba–Weta, Bolove–Nolopi, and Sasieme roads, describing the interventions as vital to improving mobility, trade, and access to social services.
He also appealed for the completion of stalled GETFund projects in the area to facilitate effective teaching and learning in public schools.
“The progress we are seeing is proof that with continued funding and monitoring, we can transform our communities one project at a time,” he said.
Mr. Seade reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working with government agencies and development partners to ensure the timely delivery of all projects aimed at enhancing social amenities and promoting inclusive development within the Keta Municipality.
