Ghanaian singer, songwriter and producer KiDi has confirmed that he has officially parted ways with Lynx Entertainment, marking a major shift in his music career.
He made the disclosure during a TikTok Live session with content creator Code Micky, stating plainly that he is no longer under the label and is now operating as an independent artiste.
“No, I am no longer with Lynx,” he said, confirming the end of a long-standing professional relationship.
KiDi’s departure closes a chapter that began in 2016 when he signed with Lynx Entertainment after winning the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition. During his time with the label, he evolved into one of Ghana’s leading Afrobeats voices.
He first gained attention with early records such as Say You Love Me, before breaking into mainstream success with Odo, a track he also self-produced.
Under Lynx, he went on to achieve international recognition with hits like Touch It, one of his most commercially successful songs.
KiDi explained that his move toward independence had been gradual, beginning around the release of Gymnastic, a collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak.
He later released Babylon and most recently dropped Signature, a joint track with Lasmid, signalling his transition into a new phase of creative control.
His exit positions him among a growing number of Ghanaian artistes taking independent routes as the industry continues to evolve around digital distribution and self-managed careers.
