The High Court in Koforidua, presided over by Justice Addae, has ruled in favour of Frank Annoh-Dompreh, affirming his election as the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri Constituency after dismissing a petition filed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) challenging his victory.
The NDC had contested the legitimacy of Annoh-Dompreh’s election, claiming that the declaration was based on inaccurate result sheets. However, after a thorough review of the legal proceedings, the court upheld an application filed by Gary Nimako Marfo, the NPP’s Director of Legal Affairs, and dismissed the petition.
As part of the ruling, the court imposed a GH₵25,000 cost on the petitioners. This judgment solidifies Annoh-Dompreh’s position as the elected representative for the constituency, effectively bringing an end to the legal challenge against his seat.
