Mantrac Ghana Ltd. is calling for enhanced collaboration with state institutions to tackle operational challenges and ensure long-term business sustainability.
The call was made by the company’s new Managing Director, Mr. Pierre Hill, during a courtesy visit to the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in Accra.
With over 1,000 employees and decades of investment in Ghana’s economy, Mantrac Ghana is seeking stronger institutional engagement to maintain its footprint and contribution to the country’s industrial growth.
Mr. Hill emphasized that while Mantrac remains committed to Ghana, the company needs effective coordination with government agencies to resolve critical business concerns and create an enabling environment for growth.
In response, GIPC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Simon Madjie, reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to supporting investors beyond the initial registration stage. He highlighted the importance of GIPC’s Aftercare Division, which serves as a bridge between investors and government institutions to help resolve regulatory and operational bottlenecks.
“Post-establishment support is just as vital as attracting new investment,” Mr. Madjie said. “We are committed to walking the journey with our investors.”
He also acknowledged Mantrac Ghana’s substantial contribution to Ghana’s economic and industrial landscape and commended the company for its sustained presence in the market.
As part of broader reforms, Mr. Madjie revealed that GIPC is currently reviewing national investment legislation and exploring the creation of an Investor Grievance Mechanism to provide a formal channel for resolving investor-related concerns more efficiently.
The meeting marks a renewed push for public-private collaboration, with both parties expressing optimism about future cooperation aimed at strengthening Ghana’s business environment and investor confidence.
