The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has strongly refuted claims by Assin South MP Rev. Ntim Fordjour that two aircraft were being used to smuggle drugs and launder money into Ghana.
Speaking on Citi FM, NACOC Deputy Director General Alexander Twum Barimah said the accusations were “entirely unfounded” and meant to mislead the public.
President Mahama has ordered an investigation into the matter, but government officials, including Minister of State Felix Ofosu Kwakye, have slammed the claims as politically motivated and unsupported by any evidence.
