The Fijai Old Students Association (FOSA Global) has ushered in a new era of leadership, with a freshly elected 13-member executive committee promising to deepen alumni engagement and strengthen support for the development of Fijai Senior High School.
The new executives were elected and sworn into office during the Association’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the school’s Assembly Hall under the theme, “One Vision, One Legacy.”
Addressing members after the election, the newly elected President of FOSA Global, Mr Abraham Quandahor, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in the leadership team and pledged to work towards making the Association more impactful.
He described the election as the beginning of a new chapter for the alumni body and called on old students across various year groups to reconnect and contribute actively to the Association’s growth and the advancement of their alma mater.
Mr Quandahor said the new administration would prioritize collaboration with school authorities to support academic excellence, improve infrastructure, enhance student welfare, and expand mentorship opportunities for current students.
According to him, alumni involvement should go beyond nostalgia and evolve into a transformative partnership that delivers tangible benefits for the school and its students.
He emphasized that unity, active engagement, and empowerment would guide the Association’s activities over the next two years, while creating platforms for career development, business networking, youth mentorship, and professional collaboration among members.
The call for stronger alumni involvement was echoed by Mr Kwame Edjah, Chairman of the School Board, who urged former students to play a greater role in addressing challenges facing the institution, particularly declining discipline and infrastructure needs.
He appealed to FOSA Global to work closely with management to help improve academic performance and restore the high standards for which the school is known.
The Headmaster, Mr Kenneth Agbomadze, also praised the Association for its longstanding contributions to the school’s development and acknowledged the impact of various projects undertaken by alumni over the years.
The AGM brought together past students from different graduating classes to review the Association’s achievements, discuss future priorities, and chart a renewed course for alumni participation in the growth of Fijai Senior High School.
