The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced an immediate suspension of the distribution of party identification cards nationwide, citing growing concerns over the lack of coordination and inconsistencies in the ongoing process.
In a memo signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party acknowledged that the current method of issuing ID cards has raised significant issues across various regions and constituencies, including dissatisfaction among Members of Parliament.
The memo, issued on April 8, stated that the absence of a structured and coordinated approach jeopardizes the credibility of the party’s identification system. It urged a suspension of the process until further notice, emphasizing the importance of maintaining legitimacy and security in all party operations.
The NPP leadership assured party members that additional instructions would be provided as they work on improving the process.
