Government in a renewed push to foster transparency and engage the public on the state of national affairs, the Presidency Communications Office is set to launch the Government Accountability Series on Monday, July 14, 2025.
The initiative is aimed at providing regular updates on the performance of various government ministries and agencies, particularly reflecting on activities and achievements over the past six months.
According to a statement from the Communications Office, the series will serve as a platform for sector ministers to give detailed mid-year reports, highlight policy progress, and address key challenges in their respective portfolios.
The briefings will be held thrice weekly—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—at 11:00 a.m., and will be open to both the media and the general public via live broadcast and online streaming.
The inaugural session will feature Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, who is expected to shed light on matters relating to internal security, public safety, crime prevention, and ongoing reforms within the Ghana Police Service and allied agencies.
Officials say the move forms part of government’s broader commitment to transparency, citizen engagement, and evidence-based governance.
The Presidency has encouraged all Ghanaians to follow the sessions closely and participate through questions and feedback where possible.
